Why Update Your Aadhaar Before December 14, 2024?
If you haven’t updated your Aadhaar details in the last 10 years, UIDAI recommends submitting updated proof of identity and address documents. This helps improve the accuracy of your demographic data, enhances service delivery, and boosts the success rate of authentication processes.
Aadhaar Card Update Free Last Date 2024: Originally set for June 14, 2024, the free update deadline was first extended to September 14, 2024. Now, you have until December 14, 2024 to make updates without incurring any charges, as announced by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). After this date, updates will require a fee.
How to Update Aadhaar Online: A Step-by-Step Guide
- Visit the UIDAI Website: Go to https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/portal.
- Navigate to ‘Update Your Aadhaar’: Click on ‘My Aadhaar’ and select ‘Update Your Aadhaar’.
- Access the Update Page: On the ‘Update Aadhaar Details (Online)’ page, click ‘Document Update’.
- Enter Your UID and Captcha: Provide your Aadhaar number and Captcha code, then click ‘Send OTP’.
- Login with OTP: Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number to log in.
- Select Details to Update: Choose the demographic details you wish to update (name, address, date of birth, etc.).
- Submit and Upload Documents: Enter the new information and upload the required documents.
- Submit Update Request: Click ‘Submit Update Request’. You’ll receive an Update Request Number (URN) via SMS to track your request.
Important Notes
- Biometric Updates: Changes to biometric details (iris, fingerprints, facial photograph) must be done offline.
- Date of Birth and Gender: Updates to your date of birth and gender are limited to one time each.
Offline Update Process
For those preferring offline updates:
- Download the Aadhaar enrolment form from the UIDAI website.
- Fill it out and visit the nearest Aadhaar Enrolment Centre or Aadhaar Sewa Kendra with the necessary documents.
- Your biometric data will be collected, and you’ll receive an acknowledgment slip with your URN for tracking the update status.
Aadhaar Free Update Last Date
