Thousands of Coca-Cola cans in Illinois and Wisconsin have been recalled following fears of a ‘foreign object’ in soda cans.
Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling, LLC, recalled more than 10,000 cans of 12-packs of 12oz Coca-Cola Original Taste on March 6 after plastic was found inside, Newsweek reported.
The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) classified it as a Class II recall.
The 12-packs affected by the recall feature a date code of ‘SEP2925MDA’ with time stamps between 11:00 and 12:53.
Each can has a Universal Product Code – UPC – of 49000-00634 6 and a 12-pack UPC of 0 49000-02890 4, according to Newsweek.
As of now, approximately 864 12-packs are included in the recall.
