Investigators said that Paul Swarner fatally shot his wife and their two children before turning the gun on himself.
Paul Swarner, his wife Karen Swarner and their two young children, Evelyn and Connor, were found dead.
A family of four was found dead in their home in Pennsylvania in the US which officials suspected to be a murder-suicide. Paul Swarner, 35, his wife, Karen Swarner, 32, and their two young children, Evelyn, 5, and Connor, 1, were found by Karen’s father at their Ruffsdale home, the police said.
Investigators said that Paul Swarner fatally shot his wife and their two children before turning the gun on himself. State Trooper Steve Limani said, “It’s unthinkable. It’s unfathomable.”
He added, “I don’t know what was going on with Paul. I don’t know why it would have happened. I hope we’re able to find some answers. It’s extremely, extremely sad. I don’t know. I don’t know what’s worse.”
The family members had spoken with the couple a couple days ago and for “all intents and purposes, there was not what you would consider strife or any type of concern or fear of endangerment or anything like that,” he informed.
Talking about the couple, the official said as per New York Post, “They seem like they had very successful jobs and were a very loving household.”
