The Long Island healthcare executive, who is a father to five kids, has been indicted on child porn charges and has been remanded to a federal jail.
Jacob Walden was arrested on July 31, 2024 after which he was placed under home confinement at his Valley Stream home.
Jacob Walden, co-owner of Woodmere-based Emerald Healthcare, allegedly made child porn for over four years. The Long Island healthcare executive, who is a father to five kids, has been indicted on child porn charges and has been remanded to a federal jail.
At his arraignment at Central Islip Federal Court, Jacob Walden entered a not-guilty plea as he was indicted for charges of sexually exploiting two teens, ages 16 and 17, as well as receiving and possessing child pornography, The New York Post reported.
US Attorney John Durham, of the Eastern District of New York, said in a statement, “As alleged, the defendant enticed minors to produce sexually explicit photographs and videos of themselves and send them to him via the Internet in exchange for payment. Protecting children from predators who sexually exploit them will always be a priority of my Office.”
Prosecutors said Jacob Walden bought at least 500 images and 5,000 child sexual abuse videos from a production and distribution network which catered to adult male buyers.
Jacob Walden was arrested on July 31, 2024 after which he was placed under home confinement at his Valley Stream home. His next court date is February 24.
