US, UK Jets Pound Yemen After Houthis Down MQ-9 Drone, Vow To Meet “Israeli Madness” With “Strength”

On September 8, Houthi rebels claimed to have shot down an American MQ-9 Reaper drone over Yemen’s Marib province, marking it as the eighth drone they have downed. Brig Gen Yahya Saree stated this as part of their support for Gaza and their broader defence efforts. The rebels did not provide supporting evidence but hinted that such materials might appear later. In response, the US conducted airstrikes in Houthi areas, while the Houthis vowed to persist with their pro-Palestinian operations.
