Last seen in cooking based reality show Celebrity MasterChef, Usha Nadkarni has been entertaining fans for many years now. Among impressive lineup of projects that she has been a part of is Bigg Boss Marathi Season 1. Talking about how it was like during her participation in the popular show, Usha recently revealed that it was a “bad experience” adding that staying in the controversial house affected her mental health.
Recalling her experience of Bigg Boss Marathi Season 1, Usha Nadkarni told Pinkvilla, “Bigg Boss ke voh 77 days, paagal ho gayi thi. Bheje mein keede lagte hai vaha. Baki sabke lagte hai ki nahi malum nahi par mere bheje mei keede lage the (Those 77 days of Bigg Boss, I had gone mad. Mind gets infected when you are inside the house. I don’t know about others, but it affected my mind).”
Usha also recounted the days when she returned to her home after her stint in the show. She failed to remember the details of her own house, even asking her brother, “Why does the hall appear smaller than it used to be?” Elaborating further, she even admitted to having forgotten her own telephone number at that time. The actress continued, “Sab bhul gayi thi. Kyuki duniya se kuch tumhara sampark rehta nahi hai. (I had forgotten everything because there was no connection with the outer world inside the house).”
The 79-year-old actress had more to say about her experience of Bigg Boss Marathi. She added, “Sab pagal jaise hote hai. Mera toh experience bohot kharab tha. Firse bulayenge toh nahi jaane wali hu. Vahi namaskar karke aa jaungi (Everyone gets mad. I had a very bad experience. If they call me again, I won’t go. I will join my hands).”
On the work front, veteran actress Usha Nadkarni last showcased her culinary skills in Celebrity MasterChef. She was eliminated from the show before the semi-finals. Her exit from the show left co-contestants emotional, even prompting judges to acknowledge her determination and fighting spirit. Hosted by Farah Khan, the cooking-based reality series saw Usha competing against Tejasswi Prakash, Rajiv Adatia, Nikki Tamboli, Archana Gautam, Faisal Shaikh and others.
Gaurav Khanna, known for his much-loved portrayal of Anuj Kapadia in the popular TV show Anupamaa, won the show.
