Veg Fish Curry Recipe
Prepare The Gram Flour Mixture: In a bowl, mix gram flour, rice flour, salt, turmeric, red chilli, ajwain, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, and coriander leaves. Add water slowly to make a thick batter.
Shape And Cook The Gram Flour Fish: Spread the batter on a greased plate, shaping it like fish fillets. Steam or cook on low flame until set. Once cooled, slice and shallow fry until golden and crispy.
Prepare The Gravy: Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, then fry chopped onions until golden. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute. Stir in the tomato puree and powdered spices. Cook until the oil separates. Add a little water to adjust the consistency.
Combine And Simmer: Add the fried besan slices to the gravy and simmer for 5–7 minutes so the flavours are absorbed well.
Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot with rice, roti, or paratha. It also makes a great party dish, guests may even mistake it for a non-veg delicacy. It brings together taste, nutrition, and innovation in one satisfying meal.
