New video from inside the chaotic Cambria County polling station in Pennsylvania showed the moment voting machines suddenly stopped working on election day.
The footage, obtained by Daily Mail, showed voters being asked to place their ballots into a box rather than submit them to the electronic machine.
Dubious voters did as requested, then shared their thoughts on social media.
‘Very interest… they go to start scanning our ballots into the box and guess what? The box doesn’t work,’ said Amanda Wagner.
‘What did they do? They just unlock it and stick all of our ballots underneath.’
Officials filed an order to extend voting hours in the county from 8pm to 10pm following the ‘software malfunction’ that kept voters from scanning their ballots.
It remains unclear what triggered the malfunction. Officials insist it has now been repaired.

Election workers said ‘there is a process in place for issues of this nature’ and the malfunction ‘should not discourage voters from voting at their voting precincts.’
‘The Cambria County Board of Election learned early this morning that a software malfunction in the County’s Electronic Voting System has prevented voters from scanning their ballots,’ the Office of County Commissioners said.
‘The Board has filed a Court Order extending the time to vote within Cambria County.
‘No one should be turned away from the polls if they wish to cast their vote. Cambria County Board of Elections took measures to have IT specialists called to review the software issue.
‘All completed ballots will be accepted, secured, and counted by the Board of Elections.’
The states Department of State added: ‘The Department of State is in contact with county officials in Cambria County.
‘Voters are continuing to vote by paper ballot, in accordance with normal operations, while the county resolves the issue with in-precinct scanning.

‘We are working with the County to resolve this technical matter and remain committed to ensuring a free, fair, safe, and secure election.’
The Republican National Committee has spoken out on the Cambria ballot machines, saying they are supporting an extension of voting hours.
RNC Chairman Michael Whatle said: ‘This morning’s ballot processing issues in Cambria have resulted in delays — this is unacceptable, plain and simple. Our legal team acted immediately to support extended hours to give voters the opportunity to vote – we need voters to STAY IN LINE!’
Trump won Cambria county by 68.1 percent in 2020 and 67.3 percent in 2016.
Bedford County in PA also reported issues with ballot scanners on Tuesday morning.
Pennsylvania is one of seven swing states expected to decide the election, barring a major surprise, alongside Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, and Wisconsin.
While there have been no major reports of any malicious cyberactivity affecting election offices, foreign actors have been active in using fake social media profiles and websites to drum up partisan vitriol and disinformation.
In the final weeks, U.S. intelligence officials have attributed multiple fake videos alleging election fraud in presidential swing states to Russia.

On the eve of Election Day, they issued a joint statement with federal law enforcement agencies warning that Russia in particular was ramping up its influence operations, including ways that could incite violence, and likely would continue those efforts well after votes have been cast.
Harris entered Election Day with a 4-point lead over Trump after slashing the gender gap.
Harris, 60, has the support of 51 percent of likely voters, according to the latest PBS News/NPR/Marist poll. Trump has support from 47 per cent.
The survey found that Harris’ surge comes after Trump’s lead among male voters significantly declined in the final days leading up to the election.
Trump, 78, previously held a 57 per cent lead amongst male voters, but now only leads 51 per cent to Harris’ 47 per cent.
However, the Democrat’s lead among women shrunk from 18 to 11 points.
