Ingredients:
- Tomatoes – 500 grams (chopped)
- Ghee – 2 tablespoons
- Boiled potatoes – 2 (mashed)
- Cashews and raisins – 2 tablespoons
- Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tablespoon
- Green chillies – 2 (finely chopped)
- Spices – Garam masala, coriander powder, red chilli powder
- Lemon juice – 1 tablespoon
- Chutney – Tamarind and green chutney
- Salt – to taste
Things To make this chaat special:
- Use of ghee: This chaat is cooked in ghee, which imparts a great taste and aroma.
- Cashews and raisins: The addition of dry fruits adds a slight sweetness and crunch to the chaat.
- Combination of tamarind and spices: The sweet and sour taste elevates its uniqueness.
Recipe:
- Heat ghee in a pan and add ginger-garlic paste and green chillies. Fry lightly.
- Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften.
- Add mashed potatoes, cashews, raisins, and spices. Mix well.
- Add tamarind chutney and a little water. Let it cook for a few minutes.
- Pour the prepared mixture into a serving plate and garnish with green chutney, lemon juice, and coriander leaves.
