Ahead of the Boxing Day Test at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), ace batter Virat Kohli had a new haircut. The former Indian captain has been struggling to score after getting a century in Perth, where India won the game by a massive margin of 295 runs. Before heading into the Melbourne fixture and rediscovering his rhythm, Kohli decided to sport a new look.
Australia’s celebrity hairstylist Jordan Tabakman shared a video on Friday evening in which he could be seen giving Kohli a new look before the Boxing Day Test.
“THE KINGS NEW CROWN @virat.kohli always a pleasure my man,” wrote Tabakman.
Notably, Kohli visited Tabakman back during his previous visit to Australia, for the T20 World Cup 2022. The likes of Hardik Pandya and Ishan Kisan also got their haircuts from the famous Australian stylist.
Earlier on Thursday, Kohli had a heated discussion with the Australian media at the Brisbane airport. As reported by 7 News, Kohli was seen lashing out at a TV reporter at the Melbourne airport. It is suggested that the 36-year-old was not pleased with the presence of cameras that appeared to be directed at his family.
“It was upon seeing the waiting cameras that Kohli became a little heated over what is largely a misunderstanding when he thought the media was filming him with his children,” a reporter was quoted saying.
“With my kids, I need some privacy, you can’t film without asking me,” Kohli reportedly insisted on privacy when it comes to his family.
With the series level at 1-1, the Boxing Day Test could play a crucial role in deciding who takes the series and possibly the World Test Championship Final spot for the 2023-25 season which could be up for grabs.
