Delhi cricketer Priyansh Arya has named Virat Kohli as his favourite player.
Talented Delhi cricketer Priyansh Arya has expressed his desire to play with Virat Kohli as a part of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) franchise. Arya hit the headlines after walloping six consecutive sixes in an over during a match of the ongoing Delhi Premier League.
Arya, who dons the number 18 jersey for South Delhi Superstars, has named Kohli as his favourite player and idol.
“I want to play with Royal Challengers Bangalore team because Virat Kohli is my favourite batsman and RCB has never won the IPL title till date and I want to help in that,” he told Sports Yaari.

Arya is quite keen on helping RCB win their maiden Indian Premier League (IPL) title. The Bengaluru-based franchise has failed to lift the title in the 17-year history of the tournament. Their women counterparts, on the other hand, won their first crown in the second season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) in 2024.
Arya has struck 602 runs in nine innings of the DPL 2024. The 23-year-old is also the highest scorer of the tournament currently.
Arya hogged the limelight during a match against the Delhi Strikers when he smashed six consecutive sixes in the 12th over of the innings bowled by spinner Manan Bhardwaj. He scored 120 off 50 deliveries.
It was his second century of the season.
As for Kohli, the star Indian batter has featured in one bilateral series since winning the T20 World Cup. He made his return to international cricket in the ODI series against Sri Lanka but failed to show up at the R Premadasa Stadium registering scores of 24, 14 and 20 against their Asian counterparts. This was also Kohli’s first ODI series under the management of new head coach Gautam Gambhir.
Kohli is currently on a break as he prepares to make a return to international cricket against Bangladesh. The two-match Test series will begin on September 19 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.
