This day marks the victory of Lord Ram in winning Sita’s Swayamvar and their subsequent marriage. Astrologer Rakesh Chaturvedi from Pratap Vihar, Ghaziabad, sheds light on the auspicious timing of Vivah Panchami. He notes that this month is especially favourable for reciting the Bhagwat Katha and worshipping Lord Krishna. As per astrology, the full moon during this month falls in the Mrigashira nakshatra, which is why it is considered an ideal time for devotion. Additionally, bathing in the Yamuna River during this month is said to cleanse a person of all their troubles and sins, leading to spiritual liberation.

According to the Panchang, the Panchami Tithi of Shukla Paksha in Margashirsha will begin on December 5 at 12:49 PM and end on December 6 at 12:07 PM.
