Vivo V60 launch teasers suggest the phone is coming in August.
Vivo V60 is launching in India very soon and the company has started with the teasers for the new V-series model. The brand has pulled out all the stops for its recent V-series phones and the V60 is likely to get more upgrades, including better cameras and maybe improved charging support for the built-in battery.
Vivo could also build upon the India-centric wedding photography mode and bring a new set of AI tools to appeal to the buyers.
Vivo V60 India Launch Soon: What We Know
Vivo V60 will definitely feature a sleek design, something we have seen with the V50 Pro model earlier in the market. We expect the V60 to carry a quad-curved AMOLED display like its predecessor which adds further appeal to the device. Vivo V60 should get a 6.67-inch AMOLED display that seems to be the trend for phones in the segment.
The phone is likely to come with both IP68 and IP69 rating which makes it durable against dust and water to a certain range.
Reports suggest the new Vivo phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset which is a switch from the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC on the V50 Pro model and a one series upgrade on 7 Gen 3 that was powering the V50 model. On the imaging, we expect Vivo to pack a triple camera setup that has a 50MP primary wide sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens with optical zoom support and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor.
There have been rumours about Vivo bringing its OriginOS to power the new V-series phone in India, but it seems the brand will continue using the Funtouch OS version out of the box for this model as well.
Having a sleek device understandably gives Vivo the edge to pack a higher capacity battery and the V60 should see a decent upgrade on the V50 Pro specs. The new Vivo phone should have a 6,500mAh battery that supports 90W wired charging speed with the help of the bundled charger. Going by these features, we expect the Vivo V60 price in India to start at around Rs 35,000 for the base model, going up over Rs 42,000 if you want to buy the higher variant.
