Bollywood celebrities, renowned for their flawless skin, often swear by natural and DIY beauty remedies. These simple yet effective techniques, passed down through generations, help them maintain their youthful glow. Among the B-town stars, one name that resonates with radiant skin and effortless beauty is Kiara Advani. The actress has captivated audiences with her luminous complexion. Her secret? A combination of a healthy lifestyle and natural beauty remedies. The actress often shares glimpses of her skincare routine on social media, offering fans a glimpse that DIY beauty recipes hold close to her heart.
Yet again, Kiara Advani revealed about her skincare recipes her grandmother passed down, her off-duty makeup looks, and more. At the launch of Tira Beauty’s new flagship store at Jio World Plaza in Mumbai, the actor spoke to Vogue India about the natural ingredients from the comfort of her kitchen that give her a natural glow. She also said that DIY face masks with fruits and vegetables are the simplest way to get clearer, more radiant skin.
Besan mask: The DIY recipe from her grandmother’s stash that she has followed to this day is the gram flour or besan mask. For this, just take a little bit of gram flour, a little bit of homemade milk or the malai of the milk, and a little bit of honey. Mix them together till it turns into a paste and put it on your face. The diva said that it is the best detox face mask her grandmother passed on to her.
Fruit or vegetable peels: The actor further suggested rubbing the peels of any fruit or vegetable you’re eating. Yes, you read that right. She explained that the peels can work wonders. Apple peels can help reduce the appearance of ageing; cucumber peels are full of fibre, protein, antioxidants, vitamins C and K, and other minerals; and banana peels are rich in antioxidants, which can help protect your skin from sun damage and free radicals.
Responding about her off-duty beauty look, Advani revealed that while blush blindness may be a trend that could be her weak spot, a lip oil or a lip tint coupled with lots of mascara and sunscreen forms the holy trinity for her off-duty look.
The Satyaprem Ki Katha actress also said that she believes good skin is a collective result of consistency, a healthy lifestyle, and a selection of products that work best for you. “Now that I am in my 30s, I take a lot of care of my skin. The basic things like taking off my makeup and making sure there’s no residue along with your moisturiser, sunblock, everything—the whole routine is fundamental with, of course, your lifestyle that includes sleep, diet, and stress levels,” she exclaimed.
