Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, Amaran is inspired by the life of the late Major Mukund Varadharajan. He was posthumously awarded the Ashok Chakra after he was martyred in Shopian, Jammu and Kashmir during a counter-terrorism operation. The lead role has been portrayed by Sivakarthikeyan. The film has been bankrolled by Kamal Haasan, R Mahendran, and Sony Pictures International Productions. It is slated to be released theatrically on Diwali – October 31, 2024.
On the work front, Pallavi also has Naga Chaitanya starrer Thandel in line. She will make her Bollywood debut with Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. She is currently filming for the projects. Sivakarthikeyan, on the other hand, was last seen in a special appearance role in Thalapathy Vijay’s The Greatest Of All Time. He was also seen in Ayalaan earlier this year where he shared the screen with Rakul Preet Singh.
