The daily soap which premiered in 2017 is set to bid farewell to its loyal audience next month. The final episode will reportedly air on December 6.
Viewers were in for a surprise when the news of one of the most popular shows on TV, Kundali Bhagya, going off air surfaced. The daily soap, which premiered in 2017, is set to bid farewell to its loyal audience next month. Reportedly, the final episode will air on December 6. The series starred Sharddha Arya, Adrija Roy, Basser Ali, Paras Kalnawat and others. Not just the fans, but even the cast and crew were in for a surprise when the sudden decision to put the show off air was announced. Paras Kalnawat, who has played the lead in the show, opened about the decision, stating it was “very abrupt.”
In a conversation with Hindustan Times, Paras Kalnawat stated, “This decision of the production and the channel was very abrupt. We never got to know or had that space with us that we have a knowledge of how many days we had left. It was all of a sudden and that was actually shocking for all of us. We were all working as a family on set, and not to see them every day, it’s going to be a little emotional.”
Earlier this week, Paras Kalnawat announced that he is bidding farewell to Kundali Bhagya. He posted a heartfelt message alongside photographs of his co-stars from the show, including Adrija Roy, Sana Sayyad, Anjum Fakih, Shraddha Arya and others. The actor told the portal that he was grateful for all the love he received from his fans. He mentioned, “All the messages I have been receiving after my post, I can feel how disheartening the development is for the audience too. It has a loyal audience who’ve been watching it since the beginning. I find myself lucky that I got this opportunity.”
Paras’ decision came after Sharddha Arya, who has been affiliated with the show since its inception, said she was quitting as well. Kundali Bhagya, a popular television serial and spin-off of another known show, Kumkum Bhagya, gradually became a fan favourite, attracting audiences across the country. The series is produced by Ektaa Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms and seamlessly integrates romance, drama, family dynamics and suspense to create a riveting story.
The cast had seen substantial changes since its inception. The daily soap began with Shraddha Arya and Dheeraj, but later, featured Shakti Arora as the new Karan Luthra, followed by Shakti Anand. As a result of the generational shift, new performers such as Paras Kalnawat, Baseer Ali and Adiraj Roy took on leading roles.
