Many grooms with skin concerns, such as dark circles, are increasingly opting for HD makeup to achieve a flawless look
With the wedding season commencing on November 12, marked by Devuthani Ekadashi, brides and grooms are seeking the perfect makeup look for their big day. While makeup is traditionally focused on brides, grooms today are equally interested in achieving a polished wedding look.
Sunil Tiwari, a makeup artist at ‘Sam Makeup Studio’ in Almora, Uttarakhand, explains that more grooms now prefer basic or HD makeup to ensure a camera-ready appearance. Groom makeup packages for receptions range from Rs 2,000 to Rs 5,000, enhancing the groom’s skin for a refined look.
Growing Demand for Groom Makeup
According to Tiwari, demand for groom makeup is on the rise, especially for receptions where grooms want to match their brides’ elegance on stage. Makeup can enhance skin tone, conceal dark circles, and assist with hair setting, giving grooms a clean, confident, and well-balanced appearance in photos and videos.
Types and Process of Groom Makeup
Grooms can choose between basic and HD makeup. Basic makeup highlights the skin and aims to keep the face natural-looking, subtly enhancing the complexion. HD makeup, however, offers greater precision, ideal for capturing high-quality photos and videos. Many grooms with skin concerns, such as dark circles, are increasingly opting for HD makeup to achieve a flawless look.
Changing Trends in Wedding Makeup
Wedding makeup trends are evolving, with an increasing focus on groom aesthetics. Makeup studios are now offering specialised packages and services for grooms, recognising that modern grooms are as invested in their appearance as brides are. This shift reflects a broader acceptance and interest in grooming and presentation for men on their wedding day.
