Wendy Williams has broken her silence after undergoing a psychiatric evaluation – and made a surprise call to Good Day New York on Tuesday to give a worrying update.
The TV personality, 60 – who has compared to the assisted living facility she is staying at as a ‘prison’ – was rushed to Lenox Hill hospital on Monday after the star was seen begging fans for help.
Williams called in to host Rosanna Scotto from the hospital and explained that she passed her evaluation with ‘flying colors.’
‘I want [to be] independently tested. That’s what I want, and that’s what I got,’ Wendy continued.
Scotto then questioned if the reason she wanted to be independently tested was because she didn’t ‘trust’ the court, and Williams replied with, ‘Look, it’s not that I’m scared to talk.
‘It’s just under these circumstances, there’s certain people that I don’t care to talk to or talk about, you know what I’m saying.’

Scotto also asked Wendy is she would open to having a ‘sober companion or financial consultant if they moved you out of that guardianship?’
The star – who was placed under the guardianship of Sabrina Morrissey in 2022 – expressed, ‘As far as a sober companion, I don’t need that.
‘I am not drinking, ever in my life. A financial advisor, I’ve had that. A financial advisor? Of course, of course a financial advisor, somebody to look after my money… Because the money that I have right now is all with my guardian person.’
The host of Good Day New York asked Williams if the guardian was ‘taking out fees every month.’
However Wendy opted to not answer and instead replied, ‘Oh please, listen, listen. I’ll talk to you behind the scenes for that.’
The TV personality also shared that she was waiting to speak to her lawyer about her next steps while still at the hospital.
During the call, Wendy was also joined by a woman named Gina and Rosanna asked if they could bring the results of the new tests before a judge in order to help get Williams out of the assisted living facility.
‘Absolutely, these are independent results from a very well-known hospital, it’s independent. It’s factual. I would be very disappointed and very concerned if the judge has an issue with those tests,’ Gina explained.

‘It’s just under these circumstances, there’s certain people that I don’t care to talk to or talk about, you know what I’m saying,’ Williams said
Last month in February, the star revealed that she has stepped outside only twice in the span of a month as she got candid about her isolating conservatorship.
Wendy also claimed she is not ‘cognitively impaired’ and her family broke their silence in January as they they search for an attorney to help her ‘regain control of her life.’
Scotto then shifted the conversation and said, ‘You know what I don’t understand Wendy is that they’re locking you up like you committed a crime.’
Williams replied, ‘Yes! I have to tell you something. And you know, I’m on the fifth floor. It’s called the memory unit. This is a floor, you know, you don’t remember anything. Like really?
‘And as far as me being able to go outside, I’m not allowed. You know, I have to stay in this building,’ she continued, and added she needs to be ‘permitted’ in order to go to the gym that is located on the third floor.
