Social media users have questioned if Wendy’s was doing a ‘Wicked collaboration’ after a limited edition Wendy’s Frosty turned green.
Wendy’s customer and TikTok user Victoria (@girl_with_a_grill) revealed in a video that her Salted Caramel Frosty turned green 52 hours after it was made.
Victoria was tempted to see if the Salted Caramel Frosty color would be green after other TikTok users predicted the change.
The social media user admitted she owed TikTok an apology after she ‘for sure thought it was fake.’
Victoria has since questioned what may have caused the sudden color change after realizing commenters were right to say the Frosty would be green.
Multiple commenters have come up with guesses on what made the ‘yellowish’ Frosty change cover and at least four TikTokers believed it was because of syrup.
Despite wanting to know the answer behind the color change, Victoria and various other TikTokers were still disgusted with it and afraid to learn the cause.
‘I don’t dare do the chocolate and vanilla I simply don’t want to. Ignorance is bliss on that one lol,’ Victoria wrote in the comment section.

At least five TikTok users immediately thought of the 2024 film ‘Wicked’ after seeing the color and compared it to Elphaba’s appearance.
Victoria and a few other commenters also compared the color to ‘the Grinch’ and more than one person was reminded of Spongebob Squarepants.
‘This reminds me of that one episode of SpongeBob with the kelp shakes,’ a TikToker wrote in the comment section.
Others admitted their Frostys never turned green. One person claimed their salted caramel frozen drink was ‘left out for a week’ and did not turn green.
‘The fact that I worked there, and I have no answers, I didn’t even know it turned green,’ a TikToker wrote.
Several other commenters explained what they claimed are the reasons why the Salted Caramel Frosty turned green.
At least three TikTokers claimed the Frosty syrup was the reason, while others mentioned chemicals and oxidation.
‘Hey. So I did a quick Google search. Chlorine is almost colorless, slightly yellow when COLD. It turns green at room temperature,’ a TikToker wrote.

Various X users were busy writing about their excitement over the Salted Caramel Frosty rather than its color.
Multiple tweeters admitted they were not Wendy’s customers but would go to a restaurant just to order the Salted Caramel treat.
‘Wendy’s has a salted caramel frosty!! I don’t eat Wendy’s food but I pull up to the drive thru for a frosty!!,’ an X user wrote.
At least three X users tweeted they believed the limited edition Frosty was good despite not tasting like caramel.
‘The salted caramel Frosty from Wendy’s taste more like butterscotch than caramel. I don’t mind that because butterscotch is a highly underrated flavor nowadays,’ an X user tweeted.
Another X user wrote: ‘The salted caramel frosty from Wendy’s is butterscotch. Which I LOVE, but it ain’t salted caramel..’
Social media users on X were excited about the limited edition Frosty and did not mention the possible color change
