The low light might be one of the useful additions for users
WhatsApp video calls work through the front camera which might not deliver the best quality, so the new mode will help enhance the output.
Millions have relied on low-light mode to click photos when the lighting conditions aren’t the brightest. Now, WhatsApp is using this mode to help you take video calls in places where the light is dim.
Video calls are popular on the messaging app but most phones come with an average front camera that can induce grains in the visuals when two people are talking with each other. Having this low light mode could be the ideal solution to get a clear face of the person and do so without changing their location.
WhatsApp Low Light Mode For Video Calls: How To Use It
The feature is available to select users who have got the latest WhatsApp update and only works on the mobile version of the messaging app. If you have got the new feature, follow these steps to use the new mode:
– Open WhatsApp on your iOS/Android phone
– Make a video call on WhatsApp
– Click on the bulb icon visible on the top-right of the interface
– You can manually turn it off in normal light conditions
WhatsApp is adding new and useful features, which includes further focus on Status Updates and Channels. More importantly, the messaging app is trying out a new chat theme picker tool for iOS users which will not only let you change the chat theme apart from dark and light but also change the chat background for different users. The Android and iOS beta WhatsApp versions have got the tool recently and should be officially rolling out soon.
