More than 30 models of Android and iOS devices will stop supporting the app

WhatsApp continues to upgrade its features for Android and iOS devices which means some of the older phones lose out on these new additions.

WhatsApp is used by billions across the globe and it continues to add new features that makes the messaging app really useful and popular. But every now and then, WhatsApp ends support for older devices that cannot support the new features and get security updates to keep them safe. WhatsApp To Lose Support On Old Smartphones: But Why

WhatsApp has ensured that it regularly changes the minimum system requirements to run the messaging app on smartphones. And the recent tweak means that you need an Android phone that can run version 5.0 or higher. Similarly, you need an iPhone model that is able to run iOS 12 version or later. So, by any chance, if you still have a phone that can only support the software version below these, it is time to upgrade your smartphone right away, or you lose access to the popular messaging app.
