Wheel of Fortune fans lost it when a contestant on Tuesday’s episode had a rather unfortunate gaffe, just one month after another viral missolve.
Phil McManus from Palmer, Massachussets got up to $9,800 on a three-word Same Letter puzzle, which had the first two words filled out – Chocolates and Chestnuts.
After buying the last vowel – I – the third word was narrowed down to CHI_NE_S, when he decided to solve: “Chocolate Chestnuts and Chickens’ Phil said, which was not correct.
The next contestant – Matt Komma from Riverton, Utah, solved immediately, with the correct response: “Chocolates Chestnuts and Chimneys.’
Wheel fans were quick to respond on social media, skewering Phil for the missolve, including @WheelRob10.
@WheelRob10 shared a screengrab of Phil’s missolve, adding, ‘That was my shopping list last weekend. #WheelofFortune.’

He made a bucket list of three items – rock band Blink-182 reuniting, attending WrestleMania and going to Disneyland.
