Dhanashree Verma has been making headlines lately due to her alleged divorce from cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal. The couple, who tied the knot in December 2020 in Gurgaon, are now officially separated. Amid their much-discussed split, an old video of actress Surbhi Chandna, known for her roles in Naagin 5 and Ishqbaaz, has resurfaced online. In the clip, Surbhi is responding to a fan’s question about whether she considers Dhanashree her sister.
During her conversation with Filmygyan, the actress initially laughed at the question and quipped, “There are seven people in the world who have similar faces. We have found one, five are yet to be found.”
Praising Dhanashree’s talent, she added, “From what I know about her, she dances well. I believe she is where she is today because of her hard work.”
When asked if she had met Dhanashree, Surbhi expressed enthusiasm, saying, “One day, if she comes to tie Rakhi on me or I go to her to tie Rakhi, we will do that.” She also mentioned that she would love to take pictures with the choreographer.
Furthermore, the actress accepted that she resembles Dhanashree and stated, “Kabhi kabhi mujhe bhi thoda sa similarity lagta hai, mujhe jab log bhejte hain na ki (sometimes even I see the resemblance when people send me messages saying) ‘I thought it was you,’ or ‘Is this Surbhi Chandna or Dhanashree Verma?'”
Talking about Dhanashree and Yuzi, according to many media reports, the couple finalised their legal proceedings at Bandra Family Court on February 20. The choreographer’s lawyer, Aditi Mohoni, has rejected this, stating that the case is still pending and nothing has been decided.
Other reports suggest that Yuzi and Dhanashree were instructed to attend a 45-minute counselling session, during which the couple informed the judge that they were seeking divorce owing to ‘compatibility concerns’ and had been living separately for the past 18 months.
On the other hand, Surbhi has appeared in popular TV shows including Naagin 5, Qubool Hai, Ishqbaaz, Dil Boley Oberoi, Sanjivani and Sherdil Shergill, among others.
