WWE superstar Dominik Mysterio has claimed he was ‘traumatised’ by CM Punk as a kid. Dominik and Punk have a lengthy history in professional wrestling. Dirty Dom opened up about his rivalry with the Second City Saint in a recent interview. Dominik made it clear he hated Punk while citing the torture he endured because of him.

“I hate CM Punk. I hate CM Punk. He’s old. He disappeared for what, 30 years, came back and he’s now 60 and still wrestling,” Dominik told Sportskeeda WrestleBinge. “He tortured me when I was a kid,” the young superstar added.

While Dominik made his official in-ring debut in 2020, the young superstar has been a part of WWE television programming since childhood. Son of the legendary Rey Mysterio, Dominik made multiple appearances across several events before 2020. Long before he faced Punk inside the ring, he was involved in a 2010 WWE storyline about a feud between the Second City Saint and Rey. At that time, Punk confronted the high-flyer’s family which included a young Dominik.

Now that Dominik and Punk are on the same roster, he has called out the ex-WWE Champion for his actions. “I was 12 years old and he was probably 45 at the time, maybe 50,” he said. “I don’t like CM Punk. He traumatised me as a kid. Who does that to a 12-year-old?” Dominik concluded.

Dominik and Punk have traded blows on social media ever since the Chicago-based superstar made his return on the 2023 Survivor Series. While making the media rounds, Liv Morgan recently claimed her dream match is to see Punk and his wife AJ Lee face her and Dominik inside the ropes. “The answer to this [dream match], it is Dominik and I versus CM Punk and AJ Lee,” she told Khel Now on YouTube.

Punk competed in his first match in the WWE since the 2014 Royal Rumble on December 26, 2023. He faced Dominik Mysterio in his return bout, a match that was a decade in the making. Both superstars are now involved in different storylines in the Stamford-based company. Punk is set to face former Shield members Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 41. As for Dominik, he is currently not booked for any match on the card for the Show of Shows.
