Dancing On ice fans were left fuming and slammed the judges after Chris Taylor and pro partner Robin Johnstone become the latest couple eliminated from the competition on Sunday.
The Love Island star, 34, found himself in the bottom two with Anton Ferdinand, 39, and partner Annette Dytrt, as the dreaded skate off returned after four weeks and both couples were forced to perform again for the judges.Â
Jordan Banjo, Oti Mabuse, Jayne Torvill, and Christopher Dean all chose to unanimously save former footballer Anton, with viewers quick to blast the decision.
Christopher said he was sad to see his namesake leave the competition after claiming this week had seen him ‘skating his best’, but the judges pointed out that Anton’s perfomance was ‘quicker’ and ‘more professional’.Â
Chris’ time on the show has not been smooth sailing after original partner Vanessa Bauer, 28, was forced to quit last week due to injury before Robin was ushered in just 24-hours before the live show.Â
Rushing to X fans said: ‘I love Anton but even with the mistake I thought Chris’s routine was far better. Chris was doing moves that looked a lot more difficult so I don’t know what the judges are on about there’: ‘Chris did not deserve to go one bit! Bringing the skate off back now is stupid. Chris was trying new things I’d never seen before each week!’.
