Whoopi Goldberg appears to fall asleep during The View discussion of Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson

Whoopi Goldberg seemingly couldn’t be less interested in the rumors that 73-year-old Bill Belichick and his 24-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson are engaged.

The 69-year-old clumsily introduced a segment Thursday on the ABC daytime talk show about the University of North Carolina college football coach and his much younger girlfriend of two years.

The segment discussed reports that Hudson was kicked out of a holiday party where Bellichick’s ex, Linda Holliday, was at, who the coach split with in 2023, just before he reportedly started dating Hudson.

Goldberg was clearly confused, asking, ‘I’m not sure what the question is,’ as her co-host Sarah Haines started to explain the situation, but not before Goldberg took a jab at the story.

‘Hold on, let me get my pillow,’ Goldberg said, as Haines started to explain that the party was DJ’d by Holliday’s twin daughters, who were 33, and they were all upset Hudson was there and asked her to be removed.

By the end of the segment, Goldberg was seen awkwardly slumping over her chair, seemingly asleep at the desk.

Haines explained that Holliday was well known in that area, and Belichick wasn’t even at the party, making Hudson’s arrival there that much more awkward.

Haines added that people had asked Hudson to leave, to which Hudson reportedly replied, ‘It’s a party, I can be here.’

Alyssa Farrah Griffin – who admitted to being ‘way too invested in this story’ – added that Hudson being at that party was akin to, ‘social climbing’ though it doesn’t go as far as a Single White Female scenario, referencing the 1992 film of the same name.

Haines added, ‘That’s one thing Bill can’t give her. She has to earn that on her own,’ but when another host, Sunny Hostin, said she had, ‘a different take that’s going to shock everybody,’ Goldberg repeated, ‘Wait, let me get my pillow ready!’

Hostin explained that when her parents got divorced when she was younger, she was, ‘terrible to anyone they dated.’

However, now that she’s older, she just wants them to have ‘companionship’ and she wants them to be happy.

When asked if she would be fine with her father dating a 24-year-old like Hudson, Hostin said, ‘If my father met a 24-year-old that made him happy, and he had this companionship – I’m not talking about the party crashing or anything – I don’t know if I would be that offended by it.’

Goldberg seemed quite disinterested, looking off-camera to something in the distance, as Hostin admitted it was probably tougher on Belichick’s children, who are 41, 38 and 37, respectively.

They cut to a wide shot of the whole panel, and as Joy Behar jokingly asked if Hudson was a ‘kidney match,’ Goldberg can be seen seemingly asleep in her chair.

When the audience laughed at the kidney match joke, that seemed to stir Goldberg awake, though it’s unclear if she actually fell asleep or was just feigning slumber after her multiple pillow comments.

As for the party that Hudson was asked to leave, it happened December 6 in Nantucket, with an incident report claiming Holliday thought it was ‘inappropriate’ that Hudson was there at the event where her daughters were DJing.

‘I asked Ms. Hudson if she thought it was a good idea to be there considering the clear animosity the above individuals felt towards her,’ the employee wrote in the report.

‘She defended herself by saying she’d done nothing wrong, and it was her first time attending Christmas Stroll and wanted to attend the “big party” going on that night, which happened to be the one featuring the Hess Twins.’
