President Donald Trump was the real reason why Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes were not pictured together during Sunday night’s Super Bowl, according to sources who say it would have led to a ‘PR nightmare.’
The superstar singer and Brittany were both present at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans to support the Kansas City Chiefs, who eventually lost to the Philadelphia Eagles.
However, compared to previous games over the past year – where the duo were sat together to cheer on their partners Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes – the pair noticeably did not interact with each other as they sat in separate suites.
Yet both were met with a similar reception after Taylor was cruelly booed by fans on the night, while Brittany faced backlash after sharing a post on Instagram during the Chiefs abysmal game.Â
Now sources have exclusively revealed to DailyMail.com that Brittany had been ‘instructed’ to stay away from Taylor’s section over concern about potential remarks President Trump could make while also in attendance on Sunday night. Â
‘Brittany kept her distance from Taylor because of Trump attending the game,’ the source explained. ‘She was instructed to do so.’

Brittany, who has been married to Chiefs quarterback Patrick since 2022, sparked a liberal meltdown last August when she liked a post about Trump on social media.
Weeks later, Taylor publicly endorsed Kamala Harris’ bid for president – though she never spoke out about her pal’s alleged support of the Republican politician.
The source noted that it may have been a sensible call after Taylor was left stunned by being loudly booed by the crowd when her image was shown on the screens in the stadium.
‘That could have been a PR nightmare if the two were seated together when Taylor was booed,’ the source admitted. ‘And everyone was forewarned that Trump would likely reference Taylor in one way or another and he did.’
The source continued: ‘It was in both of their best interests, given Trump’s attendance and his past remarks about Taylor, that the two did not sit next to each other.’
Indeed, shortly after the Chiefs lost, Trump wrote on his Truth Social media platform: ‘The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift…
‘She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!’
It’s not the first time the President has lashed out at the hitmaker, having previously famously posted ‘I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT’ following her endorsement of former Vice President Kamala Harris last year.

At the time, DailyMail.com revealed how the attack had ‘deeply bothered’ Brittany and made the mother-of-three question her support for Trump.
A second insider explained how many in Brittany’s circle had been left feeling like Trump could try and use her as a way to take a ‘cheap shot’ at her pal.Â
‘Friends feel Trump uses Brittany and her husband Patrick to get to Taylor,’ the insider dished.Â
They continued: ‘Although Brittany never vocally supported Trump, he is convinced by her actions and by the outspoken support of her family that she is very much a supporter. She has never denied it either.’
Explaining why this has led to Brittany keeping a more public distance from Taylor, the insider added: ‘Brittany is a pawn in Trump’s game to get into her circle. Trump is well-aware of their friendship, and he is very divisive.Â
‘Any way he can take a cheap shot at Taylor, he will. This is likely why Brittany kept her distance.’Â
DailyMail.com has reached out to representatives for comment.Â
In August 2024, eagle-eyed users caught Brittany liking a Trump post mapping out 16 of his policies to his 26.3 million followers – ranging from topics on immigration to the economy.
The like generated plenty of outrage among liberals on social media, and Brittany appeared to hit out at her critics in a fiery clap back on social media.

‘I mean honestly, to be a hater as an adult you have to have some deep rooted issues you refuse to heal from childhood,’ she wrote on her Instagram Story.Â
‘There’s no reason your brain is fully developed and you hate to see others doing well.’
The weeks that followed, Taylor was no longer seen watching games with Brittany, but the pair continued to socialize together outside of matches.Â
Brittany was in attendance for Taylor’s 35th birthday party bash, while the duo enjoyed dinner with their NFL partners just days before the Sunday’s Super Bowl game.
On the night, Taylor’s VIP section saw her witness the Chiefs lose alongside the Haim sisters (Alana, Este and Danielle), rapper Ice Spice, musician Machine Gun Kelly, stylist and influencer Ashley Avignone, Taylor’s longtime friend Ross Travis, and Travis’ manager Aaron Eanes.
The singer’s brother Austin and her father Scott were there, along with Travis’ dad Ed, mom Donna and his brother Jason and his wife Kylie.Â
Other pals included sports physical therapist Alex Skacel, Patrick Bacon and Harry Clark.Â
But one notable absence from the evening was Blake Lively who was not present at the game as her legal saga with Justin Baldoni continues.
