Delhi Assembly Election Results 2025: Exit polls have finally got a election right in a span of last one year when its credibility was under question after back to back failures. Delhi polls results are in line with predictions of the exit polls which indicated a clear victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Exit polls got the predictions in 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections and several Assembly polls held in the last decade.

The BJP achieved majority on its own with 45+ seats while the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was decimated to below 30 seat-mark.

According to the ABP Matrize exit polls, it will be a close contest between the BJP (39-49 seats) and AAP (21-31 seats). Congress is expected to win 0-1 seat.
Peoples Pulse, however, predicted a sweeping victory for the BJP with at least 51 seats, far ahead of the majority mark of 36. It gave zero seat to BJP and 10-19 seats to AAP.
JVC exit polls showed that the BJP may win at least 39 seats with 31 to the AAP and at least two to the Congress. Poll Diary was another survey to predict a big win for the BJP with at least 42 to 50 seats. It gave 18-25 seats to AAP and 0-2 seats to BJP. Chanakya Strategies gave 39 to 44 seats to the BJP and 25 to 28 seats to the AAP with at least two seats for the Congress.

While Zeenia also predicted a win for the AAP, it is a close one with 33 to 38 seats for the party and 31-36 seats for BJP. Also swaying away from the majority, KK Survey predicted a comfortable win for the AAP with 44 seats. It predicted 26 seats for BJP.
Axis My India predicted 45-55 seats for BJP, 15-25 seats for AAP, and 0-1 for Congress. Today’s Chanakya predicted around 51 seats for BJP and 19 for AAP.
2024 Lok Sabha Exit Poll Results
The News18 Mega Exit Poll had suggested 355-370 seats for NDA, 125-140 for INDIA bloc, and 42-52 for others. The PMARQ exit poll survey predicted 359 seats for NDA, 154 seats for INDIA bloc, and 30 seats for other parties. The Jan Ki Baat survey has predicted 377 seats for NDA, 151 for the INDIA bloc and 15 for others. The C-Voter analysis predicted 353-383 seats for NDA, 152-158 seats for teh INDIA Bloc and four to 12 seats for others.
As per Today’s Chanakya, the BJP-led NDA is likely to secure 385 to 415 seats. Axis My India data showed NDA winning 361 to 401 seats, while INDIA bloc is likely to win 131 to 166 seats. Additionally, eight to 20 seats have been predicted for others.

Majority exit polls predicted a clear majority for the BJP but reality was different on June 5. The BJP settled with 240 seats, down from 303 seats in 2019. Written away by pollsters, the Congress made significant gains to end up at 99 seats. The BJP suffered major setbacks in Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh.
2024 Haryana Exit Polls
According to C-Voter, the Congress is projected to win 50-58 seats, while the BJP is expected to win 20-28 seats. Pulse Exit Poll predicted 49 seats for the Congress, while it gives the BJP 24 seats.
According to P-Marq, the Congress will come to power in Haryana with 56 seats, while the BJP will win 31.
The Dainik Bhaskar exit poll has predicted 44-54 seats for the Congress and 19-29 seats for the BJP. Matrize predicts 55-62 seats for the Congress and 18-24 seats for the BJP.

After failing to catch the trend in Lok Sabha polls, exit polls failed miserably in Haryana. Majority of exit polls indicated majority for Congress but it was the BJP which returned to power in the state for the third consecutive time, winning 48 seats in the 90-member house. The Congress came second with 37 seats, and the Indian National Lok Dal won two. Three independents were also elected.

ABP-Matrize has predicted 150-170 seats for Mahayuti and 110-130 for the Maha Vikas Aghadi. P-MarQ has given 137-157 seats to the Mahayuti and 126-146 to the MVA. Chanakya has predicted 152-160 seats for Mahayuti and 130-138 for the MVA. Poll Diary has indicated that Mahayuti may net 137-157 seats and MVA 126-146. People’s Pulse has predicted 182 seats for the Mahayuti and 97 for the MVA.

Majority exit polls predicted Mahayuti’s victory in Maharashtra but it turned out to be a tsunami for the alliance, which suffered a setback six month earlier in Lok Sabha election. The BJP emerged as the single-largest party, winning 132 seats, while Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena won 57 and Ajit Pawar’s NCP bagged 41 seats. In the MVA, the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) won 10 seats, the Congress won 16, while Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) won 20 seats.

According to the Matrize exit poll, the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance is likely to get between 42 and 47 seats, while the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha-Congress-Rashtriya Janata Dal ruling coalition (part of the INDIA bloc) is expected to win around 25 to 30, with others clinching between one and four seats. As per the Times Now exit poll, the NDA is expected to win 40 to 44 seats in the state, while the JMM-led coalition is likely to win 30 to 40. The People’s Pulse exit poll too gives the edge to the NDA, predicting 44-53 seats for the alliance with the JMM-led coalition behind at 25-37. Other candidates are expected to clinch five to nine seats. However, AXIS-My India is the outlier, predicting that the JMM-led alliance is likely to sweep the state with 53 out of the total 81 seats.
2024 Jharkhand Election Results
Several exit polls suggested Hemant Soren government will be voted out of power. However, there was only one outlier– AXIS MY INDIA — which got the prediction right. The JMM won 34 seats and formed the government with Congress (16 seats), Rashtriyaa Janata Dal (4 seats) and the CPI (ML) secured two seats in the INDIA bloc.
