Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia may end up leaving the Italian side during the winter transfer window. Multiple reports have suggested that Kvaratskhelia has appeared to be a prime target for several top clubs. The Athletic recently claimed that Liverpool could consider a deal to land Kvaratskhelia if the Napoli winger ends up leaving the club in this transfer window.

Kvaratskhelia’s contract at Napoli goes on till June 2027 but the lack of latest talks regarding his new contract has garnered interest from other top European outfits. The Athletic article went on to add that Kvaratskhelia is being monitored by Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) while Chelsea have also included the Gregorian on the list of potential targets.

Transfer market specialist Fabrizio Romano claimed that PSG are in talks to rope in Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. “Napoli’s formal request for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia remains around €80m package. Direct negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain are ongoing, as revealed today. Talks underway. Kvaratskhelia’s camp, discussing terms with PSG as they’re offering over x4 his current salary,” read the post shared by Romano on X (formerly Twitter).

Fabrizio Romano earlier stated that PSG were favourites to acquire the services of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. Romano claimed that the 23-year-old has “opened the doors” to his January transfer away from Napoli.

“Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has definitely opened doors to January exit. PSG, on it. Paris Saint-Germain, favourites and in direct contact with Napoli — as revealed today. Package around €80m discussed while Kvara’s camp in talks with PSG over personal terms, progressing well,” Fabrizio Romano had posted.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has so far been in stellar form for Napoli having registered 30 goals and 29 assists in 107 appearances for the Serie A side. He has been a miracle for Napoli having joined the Italian club in 2022. So far this season, he has recorded five goals and three assists in 19 matches across all competitions for Napoli.

Napoli currently lead the Serie A standings with 44 points from 19 games. They are three points ahead of second-placed Atalanta who have played a game less than Napoli in the Serie A. In their next match, Napoli will be up against 15th-placed Hellas Verona in the Serie A on Monday, January 13.
