Will Mellor has revealed he made a ‘mistake’ inviting his wife Michelle to a strip show.
The actor, 48, teamed up with his Two Pints co-star Ralf Little, 44, for Will & Ralf Should Know Better a series that challenged them to make the most of their forties.
In one episode, the pair were tasked with stripping off on stage with the Dreamboys and in an exclusive chat with MailOnline, Will revealed he didn’t know what they were letting themselves in for.
‘It was dauting,’ Will confessed. ‘I didn’t know they got their willies out! I thought it was like a Magic Mike where you do a bit of a strip, dance a bit.
‘I didn’t know they got their penis out and the problem with that is I invited my wife!’
Joking about feeling inadequate seeing their naked bodies next to his own, Will continued: ‘I thought what a f***ng mistake that was inviting her because I’ve been lying to her for a long time that this is big!’

Despite his initial nerves, Will revealed: ‘I was glad to do it and I loved it. And that’s the whole point of the series, to frighten you a bit or test you.
‘I got an adrenaline rush at the end of it. That’s when you feel alive. And the 2000 women in the audience and my wife and her friends seemed to have a great time!’
Will also put himself to the test when he competed on Strictly in 2022.
Explaining his motivation for doing the show, Will shared: ‘They asked me all the time and because of a couple of reasons I’d always said no.
‘But then I lost my dad and my brain just went “what are you doing, I’m saying no to things because of other people’s opinions”.
‘I was thinking if I do that then people might not see me as an actor, they might not take me seriously or people might judge me.
‘But I thought if you want to challenge yourself, you’ve got do things for you.
‘And it was my mum’s favorite show and she’d had a really tough time losing my dad, so I just went with it.’

Elsewhere in the interview, Will addressed a Two Pints Of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps reunion, 13 years after the hit sitcom came to an end.
The actor – who is supporting Virgin Media O2’s campaign to help end data poverty – revealed he’s been presented with a script for the reboot, titled Two Pints Last Orders.
The show came to a natural end in 2011 with most of the original cast having departed the show by 2011, after Ralf left after series six and Sheridan Smith and Kathryn Drysdale leaving after the eighth series.
Yet fans have been calling on the cast to bring the show back in recent years.
Will revealed: ‘I’ve tried. I even got a script written by [creator] Susan Nixon. A first episode draft called Two Pints Last Orders.
‘It was going to be like a final series. Where are they now kind of thing. Johnny isn’t dead, he’s been on the run on the run from a loan shark or whatever.’
Will continued: ‘But BBC said no and BBC Three said no. They’re repeating the old ones and they’re getting the highest ratings on their channel, so you think “what are you doing?”
‘I’ve said yes, I would do it. Ralph said yes. He would do it even if it was a Christmas special an hour long, just for the fans.’

Will continued: ‘It was a cult show that people got behind. Without the support of them the show wouldn’t have lasted that long.
‘I’ve said before that we can pay for it ourselves and do it, but then you’d have to put it out as a download stream and then the fans are going to have to pay to watch it and we’re in a financial crisis.
‘I can’t do that. I’d feel wrong making people pay to watch something that they supported. We shouldn’t have to do that. It should be picked up by a channel.
‘But as I say, my hands are a bit tied. We need a channel to take it up.’
