The Ministry of External Affairs on Friday said that India will continue to raise matters having bearing on the country’s national security with the United States. His reaction came after Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Pannun was reportedly seen at Donald Trump’s inauguration.

“Whenever there is an anti-India activity we take up the matter with the US government. We will continue to raise matter with the US Government that have a bearing on our national security and have an anti-India agenda,” MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said at a weekly press briefing.

What Was The Incident?

Pannun was spotted at The Liberty Ball during the official inaugural ceremony of Trump who returned to the White House on January 20.

The Khalistani terrorist was not invited to the event and he bought tickets through some contact, according to a report in WION.

As the crowd present at the celebratory event chanted ‘USA, USA’, Pannun was seen raising pro-Khalistan slogans, the video of which has been doing the rounds on social media.

The video first showed a zoom footage of Trump and First Lady Melania on the stage and then panned to its left to show the crowd chanting ‘USA, USA’. As the camera, which was supposedly his own, panned further, Pannun was seen among the crowd and was heard chanting ‘Khalistan Zindabad’.
