WWE superstar Charlotte Flair has reportedly parted ways with fellow Mexican wrestler Andrade after two years of marriage. The Queen filed for divorce from Manuel Alfonso Andrade Oropeza in Florida in June 2024 and the matter was settled in October, TMZ Sports revealed assessing the court documents. Charlotte recently made a triumphant comeback at WWE Royal Rumble to book her WrestleMania ticket. She got the better of Roxanne Perez in the final round of the women’s battle royale match to clinch her second title.
Before appearing at the mega event in Indianapolis, Charlotte had remained sidelined for almost a year due to an injury she sustained while fighting Asuka in December 2023. When she was absent from the ring, Charlotte said that her husband Andrade was helping her recover from the knee injury. So, the news of their divorce might have shocked many WWE fans.
Charlotte and Andrade started dating each other in 2019 and a year later, they got engaged. In 2022, the duo tied the knot at a lavish wedding ceremony in Mexico to begin a new chapter of their life outside the squared circle.
Charlotte’s legendary father Ric Flair supposedly played a part in their relationship. The WWE Hall of Famer teamed up with Andrade in the ‘Last Match’ of his illustrious career. Neither Charlotte nor her ex-husband has commented on the reason for their split.
Following her historic win at Royal Rumble, Charlotte Flair appeared on the latest episode of WWE RAW. Despite cutting a babyface promo, she was booed by the crowd. Charlotte, however, remained unfazed about the fans’ reactions and announced herself as the greatest WWE superstar of all time.
When she was delivering her speech, Rhea Ripley appeared at the arena and went face-to-face with the Rumble winner. Charlotte is likely to challenge Tiffany Straton for the Women’s title. She may also choose Ripley who snatched the championship away from her at WrestleMania 39.
Meanwhile, Andrade also featured in the men’s Royal Rumble match but failed to shine. With the Elimination Chamber scheduled next, he will hope to seal his spot at the upcoming WrestleMania.
