The 36-year-old Karnataka all-rounder revealed that he does not hope to be picked by the Punjab franchise in the mega auction
Broken homes can’t be fixed. Well, at least that’s what Krishnappa Gowtham seems to believe in with respect to the Punjab Kings for whom he stated he shall never give more than he wants to again, even if they pick him in the IPL 2025 Mega Auction.
In a talk with Cricket.com, the 36-year-old Karnataka all-rounder revealed that he does not hope to be picked by the Punjab franchise in the mega auction and that he has no intention of wanting to represent them to his fullest.
“I would say Punjab Kings. I’m just being very honest. The reason is, that I’ve never had a good experience with them. There are other things. It’s not just about cricket, there are other things as well. It’s not the way I would want to be treated as a cricketer,” Gowtham told Cricket.com.
“I think there’s a lot more what I wear on my sleeve. When I play for a team, I always give 100%, more than 100% on the field. I never keep anything back. But I wouldn’t give more than 100% to Punjab Kings if they pick me,” he said.
Gowtham has had a reputable IPL career, having made 36 appearance in the cash-rich league, scalping 21 wickets and nothcing up 247 runs of his own with the bat as well.
The Karnataka all-rounder has represented the likes of Rajasthan Royals, Punjab Kings, Chennai Super Kings and Lucknow Super Giants in his stint in the IPL so far.
He shall take his chances to continue his career in the IPL yet again as he goes under the hammer along with 576 more players for the IPL 2025 Mega Auction.
