WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff has revealed that he was disappointed in The Undertaker’s latest appearance during RAW’s Netflix debut.

The Deadman recently made a cameo on the January 6 episode of Monday Night RAW. He was spotted with his trademark motorcycle that he used in the early 2000s under the identity of ‘American Badass’.

While his return was a massive hit amongst wrestling fans, Bischoff claimed he wasn’t quite sold at his old-school entry in a recent episode of his popular podcast, 83 Weeks. “I didn’t like it,” the Hall of Famer said, as per multiple outlets.

The Undertaker is famed for his funerary theming in the WWE. His ‘Deadman’ persona gained mainstream popularity in the entertainment wrestling business. He adopted a biker identity from 2000-2004. Following four years, The Undertaker resurrected the Deadman gimmick with residual elements of the ‘American Badass’ remaining.

Over two decades later the Deadman reappeared as a biker to celebrate Rhea Ripley’s Women’s World Championship triumph over Liv Morgan which just didn’t sit too well with Eric Bischoff.

Eric Bischoff explained that wrestling fans hadn’t seen The Undertaker as the ‘American Badass’ for a while. He felt that it prevented the WWE Universe from reacting to him properly.

“I don’t think it allowed the audience to react to Undertaker the way they wanted to react to him. It was cool to see him, I’m sure for the audience, and they probably haven’t seen him come out on the motorcycle for a while,” Bischoff said.

“So that’s cool and he got a great reaction, but not the same kind of reaction he would have received had he walked into that ring, whether he was in his Undertaker gear or not,” he added.

In the same podcast episode, Eric Bischoff claimed that the whole segment looked ‘awkward’. “I think first of all, riding a motorcycle around a ring is f*****g awkward,” he said.

“It’s awkward to manoeuvre that thing around the ring, even for a big guy like Taker, it’s awkward and it doesn’t look that cool,” Bischoff concluded.

The Undertaker’s return as the ‘American Badass’ has resulted in several speculations around his career. It is still unknown if the biker-like entry was a one-time thing or if the company would consider building a new storyline around it.

There have also been reports that suggest Undertaker could be involved in John Cena’s retirement run this year. Nothing has been confirmed by WWE yet.
