The final SmackDown episode, ahead of the Elimination Chamber 2025, aired live on March 1 in India. The signature weekly wrestling show was hosted at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada. The latest SmackDown episode was packed with intense drama and featured major updates for the company’s upcoming premium live event. Fans were also treated to promos from top WWE stars including Trish Stratus, Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. The main event witnessed triple-threat action between Jacob Fatu, Carmelo Hayes and LA Knight. The winner of the match would become the number one contender to the Men’s WWE United States Championship.
Trish Stratus addresses fans
Trish Stratus kicked off the segment by thanking Lillian Garcia for her introduction. She then expressed excitement for the company’s upcoming premium live event, Elimination Chamber 2025. The legendary superstar introduced Tiffany Stratton, who walked out to a huge ovation from the crowd. Chelsea Green interrupted the duo and claimed she deserved more air time, being the Women’s United States Champion. Stratton then challenged Green to a match. Nick Aldis sent down a referee to make the fight official.
Fans hear from Drew McIntyre
Drew McIntyre appeared at ringside and started commenting on John Cena’s career before calling him a hypocrite. Damian Priest walked out and claimed that McIntyre has only complained about everything throughout his career. Seth Rollins made his way out and said he would have beaten Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship if it weren’t for Punk and McIntyre. He added that McIntyre, Priest and everyone else didn’t stand a chance against him in the Men’s Elimination Chamber.
Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn come face-to-face
Sami Zayn expressed how it would be an understatement to say he and Kevin Owens have been through a lot. Owens appeared in the empty Rogers Centre and said he didn’t want to show up at the Scotiabank Arena for the sake of Zayn’s neck. Zayn then revealed he was a little nervous but not about himself. Instead, he was nervous about what he would do to Owens at the Elimination Chamber.

Bianca Belair, Bayley, and Naomi vs Judgment Day and Roxanne Perez – A Pop Rox from Roxanne Perez on Bayley secured a pinfall victory.
Carmelo Hayes vs Jacob Fatu vs LA Knight in the WWE United States Championship No.1 Contender’s Tournament Final – LA Knight won by pinfall with a Lateral Press on Carmelo Hayes to become the No.1 contender to the WWE United States Championship.
