People have cried out for a Nokia phone running on Android which finally became a reality with the help of HMD Global. The Nokia phones have looked to do their best with the iconic brand name but the market did not show its excitement with the sale numbers.

Even in India, Nokia smartphones never made it past the top 8 in the market share charts, and the end of the Nokia brand license meant HMD Global decided to go on a new own-branded path.

The company has launched a slew of HMD phones since then, and while we haven’t used or tried either one of them, the overall sentiments don’t paint a rosy picture so far. Either way, this is a big moment for Nokia as a brand, which will continue to serve the consumers with its feature phones and we hope that doesn’t end anytime soon.
