Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Tuesday criticised the ongoing talks between Russian and US officials in Saudi Arabia, saying Ukraine is being left out of discussions about its own future.

Zelenskyy, who was on an official visit to Turkey, stated, “These talks are taking place between representatives of Russia and the United States about Ukraine – and without Ukraine.”

This comment comes as talks about the war in Ukraine and its possible resolution continue in Saudi Arabia without direct Ukrainian involvement.

Meanwhile, Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed Turkey’s willingness to host future talks aimed at ending the war.

He said, “Turkey will be an ideal host for any discussions between Russia, Ukraine, and the United States in the near future,” during a joint press conference with Zelenskyy in Ankara.
