Afghanistan have bounced back with a sensational century from Rahmat Shah along with a handy contribution from Ismat Alam who remains unbeaten on 64 as the side has extended their lead to over 200 runs.
The hosts will hope to make quick work of their opponents and get enough time on their hands to get the chase. Blessing Muzarabani has been the pick of their bowlers who already has four wickets in the second innings.
The weather forecasts suggest that the start could be delayed due to thunderstorms. With cloudy skies predicted after 11 AM, the chances of rain remain hovering around the 47 per cent range, meaning that it is possible that the entire day’s play could be a washout.

Afghanistan will be confident they can get a result today itself. Rahmat Shah’s century early on helped them cut down the trail but it was Alam’s knock that helped them get a massive lead. Just what Zimbabwe needed! They have bowled out the visitors but need 278 runs to win which could be tricky as the pitch has started to detiorate. Good session for the hosts though. Anything under 300 means they have chance to win here. Blessing Muzarabani was the star for them. His extra bounce did troubled the opposition and have ended with six-fer. Richard Ngarava was solid as well, he ended with three wickets.
