Steinfeld had every reason to be engrossed in the game, as the Bills and Rams scored a combined 48 points in a captivating second half that required overtime. However, for a moment in the extra period, it looked like Allen was going to suffer his eighth straight overtime loss.
The Bills got the ball first and drove into Rams territory, but running back James Cook fumbled for the second time in the game and turned the ball over. The Rams needed only a field goal to win following Cook’s turnover, but Harrison Mevis’ potential game-winning field goal attempt was blocked by Bills linebacker Greg Rousseau.
Allen took advantage of the second chance, driving the Bills back into field goal range and setting up Tyler Bass’ game-winning 45-yard field goal. With the win, Allen improved to 1-7 in overtime games.

Allen will look to make his wife proud again — and successfully find her suite, if she attends — when the Bills (4-1) play the Las Vegas Raiders (3-2) on Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET.
