Triple H revealed that he wanted the 16-time WWE Champion Cena to feel satisfied and fulfilled after his last run finishes at the end of 2025. He also claimed Cena deserved a fairytale ending more than anyone else in the company.

WWE superstar John Cena will make a major announcement on RAW’s debut on Netflix, the company’s Chief Content Officer Triple H confirmed. Ahead of the signature weekly event’s big debut on the OTT platform, Triple H spoke extensively about Cena’s future with the wrestling franchise in an interview.
The Game revealed that he wanted the 16-time WWE Champion to feel satisfied and fulfilled after his last run finishes at the end of 2025. “I think on Monday Night [RAW], he’s going to give a lot of clarity into what that year would be like for him,” Triple H told Sport Illustrated’s Jimmy Traina.
In the same interview, Triple H talked about how he wanted Cena’s retirement run to be a big success. He hoped that Cena would only have good things to say about his run once it ended. “I just want it to be great for John [Cena].
“I want it to be great for fans, but first and foremost, I want John, when he gets to the end of this one-year run to say, ‘That was the perfect out. That was the perfect last run. I did all the things I wanted to do. I performed the way I wanted to perform. I did all that stuff.’” he said.
Triple H also claimed Cena deserved a fairytale ending more than anyone else in the company. “When he gets to the end, he feels fulfilled and satisfied with it. He’s earned that as much or maybe even more than anybody else,” The Game concluded.
Cena is arguably one of WWE’s biggest-ever stars. Since his debut for the company, Cena accumulated several records and accolades in WWE history. He is currently tied with the legendary Ric Flair for the most WWE Championships won in the wrestling franchise.
Cena has also headlined WrestleMania many times while winning the WWE Men’s Royal Rumble on multiple occasions. After decades of competing in the business, the multi-time champion announced his retirement from the company during the Money in the Bank premium live event last year.
Ahead of his highly-anticipated appearance on WWE RAW’s Netflix debut, Cena shared a message to his fans on X (formerly Twitter). In his post, Cena claimed that he was ‘honoured’ to be a part of the upcoming event. “Honored to be a part of history-making night with a star-studded lineup. A must-see, can’t-miss episode!” he wrote.
There is still no confirmation on what Triple H and his team have planned for Cena’s retirement tour. Fans will have to wait until RAW’s Netflix debut for more updates.
