Luke Bryan’s son suffered an injury Friday while playing quarterback during a high school football game.

Thomas Boyer Bryan, 18, exited a game after landing on his right shoulder when he was sacked during the opening drive, according to The Tennessean.

Thomas Boyer Bryan, who goes by “Bo,” was later spotted on the sidelines wearing a sling on his right arm as his Battle Ground Academy team played against Pope John Paul II Preparatory School in Tennessee.

Bo threw for 2,006 yards and 30 touchdowns with three interceptions through seven games this season to bring the team to a 6-1 record in his first season as a starter, the outlet reported.

Bo told The Tennessean he would undergo an X-ray following the game.

“I don’t know what we’re looking at yet,” coach Bobby Bentley told The Tennessean. “We’ll have to figure this thing out. That’s the challenge for us as a team and as coaches. What do we do? How do we do it? We’re going to figure it out.”

The country music legend admitted last month that he was “super impressed” watching his son play.

“He’s learning as he goes, everything that happens to him this year it’s the first time he’s had all these pressure situations,” Bryan told USA Today High School Sports. “Can’t be more proud as a dad.”

He added, “Well the main thing is, you see the hard work that he puts in and you just want the hard work to pay off. The main thing is to see his hard work and his commitment and his love for the game… I’m just so proud of him.”

Bryan and hiw wife, Caroline Boyer, have sons Bo and Tatum “Tate” Christopher Bryan. Following the death of his sister Kelly Bryan and brother-in-law Ben Lee Cheshire, the couple took in Kelly and Ben’s three children to raise alongside their sons.

The “American Idol” judge previously told Hook & Barrel that he often reflected on how his kids were watching his every move.

“Just last week I had to tell one of my boys, ‘I know you have seen me do this… but that doesn’t mean you do it.’ But it all starts with the father in the home — they lean on us as the example,” Bryan said.

“I did it with my dad. I mean my wife tells me once a week, ‘You sound like your daddy.’ When I know I have a hunting trip coming up, my dad used to do it too, my gear is all laid out perfectly and ready to go — I do it the same way he did it, and now my boys do it too.”

He added, “I think too, through all their good days and bad, you have to uplift them. To teach them to cut themselves some slack.”
