When is October Prime Day 2026?

October Prime Day runs Oct. 6 and 7 this year, when you can shop deals across a host of categories, including tech, tools, home essentials and everyday basics.

What is October Prime Day?

Amazon’s October Prime Day event is a smaller version of its annual Prime Day sale. During the event, Prime members can take advantage of discounts across hundreds of categories. Most discounts are exclusive to Prime members, but a select few are available to nonmembers. 

Prime memberships cost $139 a year and give you access to steep discounts, limited-time price cuts and Lightning Deals on Amazon’s most popular products, like Apple AirPods Pro 3 and DeWalt’s drill and driver set. 

Tips for finding the best October Prime Day deals

To get the best deals, here are a few tips to follow while you shop:

Become a Prime member ahead of time: Many Prime Day deals are exclusively available to Prime members. If you sign up now, you can start with a 30-day free trial and be ready to shop as soon as deals drop. 

Watch for Lightning Deals: Amazon’s Lightning Deals offer deeper discounts for a limited time and can sell out quickly, especially once the timer runs out. Look for the red “Lightning Deal” label on eligible products, and don’t wait too long if you spot something you want.

Sign up for deals alerts: Set up deal alerts and get notifications from Amazon when they release new deals. You can add items to your watchlist for easy tracking.
