Paige Spiranac golfs and talks about hooking up in college, Ava Hunt on game day & a brawl in WVU’s blue lot

What a weekend and the best part is that it’s not over yet. And this is coming from a guy who spent all day yesterday without any air conditioning where the temperature reached a high of 86.

Not to mention the fact that I learned the A/C unit simply didn’t stop working on Friday night because of a simple fix. Nope, the unit is dead and it needs to be replaced.

We also learned we would be sweating out another night sleeping with whatever relief a couple of fans provides. But I’m still looking forward to Sunday because we’ll have cold air by the end of the day, and even better than that, it’s the first Sunday of the NFL season.

Add the Oregon and Ohio State losses to the fact that we have our first full slate of NFL action, and I’ll gladly be a little uncomfortable for a few more hours.

Before we get into those losses by the Ducks and Buckeyes, we’re going get Sunday Screencaps started by heading out to the golf course where Paige Spiranac is talking about dating in college.

GOLFER PAIGE SPIRANAC LEAVES PLAYING PARTNER SPEECHLESS WITH AWKWARD QUESTION, LLWS MUD & WNBA WIKI PAGES

I can’t believe it hasn’t been mentioned already, but let’s see what golf’s top influencer had to say last week when she faced off with comedian Andrew Santino for her YouTube series “Paige Meets Her Match”.

During part one of their one on one match, Santino asked Paige who she would take back to her cabin at the Celebrity Invitational, assuming everyone there was single. You know, typical golf course talk.

“Sarah Winter … she’s the best looking one there,” she said, reports the NY Post.

“Really? You’re a ladies lady,” Santino responded. “Have you ever dated a girl?”

Paige answered that while she didn’t date women, she “dabbled in college … Hooked up.”

A natural follow-up question was asked. Would she date a woman, and she replied, “I think so.”

That’s spending time productively on the golf course. They’re having fun. They’re playing golf and they’re making some content. And they’re also getting to the bottom of some romance by asking the tough questions.

If that’s not golf, I don’t want it.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL’S CHAOS ERA IS HERE: TEXAS RALLIES, OREGON FALLS AND LANE KIFFIN EYES RETURN TO OLE MISS

Now to a couple of college football losses you really hate to see

The first is a touching story of revenge. Last September, Oklahoma State visited Eugene, Oregon and was handed a 69-3 loss for their troubles.

This year, the Cowboys played host in Stillwater, Oklahoma. They weren’t about to allow a repeat of last year. The No. 6 Ducks weren’t leaving with a win. They were going home with the worst upset loss of the week.

The schedule doesn’t get any easier for Oregon either. They’re taking on Portland State next week in a true test of what they’re made of.

Can they beat a team of Portland State’s caliber after losing to an unranked Oklahoma State? We shall see.

Similar questions will be asked of Ohio State, who entered play on Saturday ranked No. 1 and left with a one-point loss after blowing a big lead to Arch Manning and the No. 4 ranked Texas Longhorns.

Can the Buckeyes get back on track against Kent State at home? That’s not a guarantee after blowing a 20-point fourth quarter lead in Austin. It’s going to come down to whether they’re disciplined enough to handle their business.

I get that not every team can remain focused enough to give up only nine points through their first two games of the season, like Penn State has done. But if you’re truly a top ten team, you shouldn’t lose that game to Oklahoma State.

And a true No. 1 travels to Texas and plays the entire 60 minutes or however long they play football games in Austin. You never know where a hidden clock will pop up next.

We have to ask after that win over Ohio State. Is Texas back? They might be.

Speaking of hidden clocks with magical seconds on them, Michigan got their first win of the season. They defeated the No. 11 Oklahoma Sooners at home.

Good for them. We’ll have to see if they’re back on the right track next week when UTEP visits Ann Arbor.

Glyn, there are much worse ways to pre-game. This awesome. Keep the pre-game meals coming. It’s a long season.

Cheeseburgers Again

– Gen X Warren M. writes:

Hey SeanJo,

Hope your Labor Day weekend has been great! So my wife and I went to see her folks who just got back into town after several weeks in Michigan. Had a great time at the pool and enjoyed some cold beers.

Later, my father-in-law made some Old Fashioned’s and I think he had too much. I ended up taking care of grilling duties and cheeseburgers once again. Came out great, at least! But I swear I grill more than just that. At least my FiL had a great time while I handled the grill.

Btw I was hoping my FAU Owls would have a UMASS ‘miracle’ vs. the Gators. Alas, it was not to be and it’s going to be another long season…

Keep the cheeseburgers and any other meat you want to send in coming. If I ever get tired of cheeseburgers go get help. Something is terribly wrong and I may need to be committed against my will.

There we have it, another Sunday in the books. Like I said, there’s a full slate of NFL action today and I can’t wait.

Stay cool out there. We’re eyeing temps in the upper 80s and low 90s today and we’re still several hours from having the new unit up and running.

If you fire up the grill, send your meat my way. As always, I want to see it. The inbox and the DMs are always open. My email is sean.joseph@outkick.com and you can find me here on Twitter and here on Instagram.
