Premier League side Chelsea managed to complete the signing of Portuguese Forward Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid on Wednesday. The exact figures of the transfers weren’t revealed, but earlier reports put the transfer around the £40 million mark.
Felix returns to Stamford Bridge after his brief loan spell in the 2022-23 season, when he pulled on the Blues kit 20 times over and found the back of the net four times.

“I loved my time here before and I told my friends and family that I’d love to return to the Premier League one day,” Felix said following the completion of his move to the London giants.
“To do that with Chelsea is a great feeling and I’m excited to be back,” he added.
Felix joined Diego Simeone’s Atletico in 2019 and appeared 131 times for the Rojiblancos. He also had a loan spell with Spanish heavyweights Barcelona in the previous campaign.

The transfer came on the same day Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher went the other way as he joined the Spanish capital city club on a reported 36 million pounds deal with the Englishman penning a contract to keep him with Atleti for five years.
Gallagher nearly completed his transfer from the Blues to the Spanish side earlier in the week, before the deal collapsed as Chelsea were unable to agree a deal for Atletico striker Samu Omorodion.

The 24-year-old Englishman had trained alone since returning to London before Felix’s move to Enzo Maresca’s unit facilitated the midfielder’s transfer to the Rojiblancos.
