After removing his jersey and shoulder pads, Jackson approached the postgame handshake line and threw a punch at Chubb. Jackson later claimed Chubb made sexually degrading remarks about his mother during the game. Chubb did not retaliate.

The official suspension statement read, in part:
“After the game, as players were shaking hands and exchanging jerseys, Jackson struck Buffalo linebacker Bradley Chubb in the face after a brief confrontation, violating Rule 12, Section 3, Article 1, which applies to “any act which is contrary to the generally understood principles of sportsmanship.”

The ruling comes amid Jackson’s prior disciplinary history with the league.
The NFL suspended Jackson for the first two games of the 2024 season under the Personal Conduct Policy regarding unconsented phone recordings, and he entered a diversion program following a June arrest on suspicion of domestic violence.
