Samsung Galaxy S25 series brings new AI features, Android 15 and more intuitive tools out of the box.
The new Galaxy S25 series is here and you get three models once again
Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy S25 series on Wednesday and the latest flagship phones will be looking to build on the early Galaxy AI features. The new lineup uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset with high RAM value and yes, Android 15 out of the box with the One UI 7 version for the first time in the market. Samsung has three models in the series once again.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Series Price
Samsung Galaxy S25 series price starts at $799.99 (Rs 68,700 approx) for the Galaxy S25 model. You have to pay a higher $999.99 (Rs 86,500 approx) for the base Galaxy S25+ variant, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra price starts from $1,299.99 (Rs 1,11,700 approx) this year. Samsung will share the Galaxy S25 series price in India soon, and the company has announced that sales of the phone starts from February 7 onwards.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Series Features
The Galaxy S25 Ultra will once again spearhead the lineup as the flagship model. The premium model features a 6.9-inch AMOLED 2x display with adaptive 120Hz refresh rate and QHD + screen resolution. The phone measures 8.2mm in thickness and weight of 218 grams with a 5,000mAh battery which still supports 45W wired charging speed. The Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus come at 7.2mm and 7.3mm thickness with weight of 162 grams and 190 grams, respectively.
The Galaxy S25 sports a 6.2 FHD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate screen, while the Galaxy S25 + comes with a bigger 6.7-inch display with the same traits. Samsung is also bringing the new One UI 7 version with Android 15 for all the three models with a slew of new features baked into the software. Galaxy AI is once again a big subject for the company and it has been integrated with Bixby this year. Samsung will offer 7 years of OS updates for these devices, and you also get 6 months of Gemini Advanced subscription for free.
All three phones from Samsung get the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset with up to 12GB RAM and 1TB storage. The Ultra gets the S Pen once more but its features might be limited this year.
On the imaging front, the Ultra comes with a quad-rear camera setup which includes a 200MP sensor with OIS, a 50MP telephoto lens with OIS, a 10MP telephoto lens with OIS, and a 50MP ultrawide angle sensor. The S25 and 25+ come with a triple camera system that consists of a 50MP wide sensor with OIS, a 10MP telephoto lens and a 12MP ultra wide lens. The front of the Ultra and the other two models still have a 12MP shooter.
