Samsung’s new health is helpful for people in India

Samsung has introduced a significant upgrade to its official Health app for Android, making it easy for users to manage their health records. Users can now seamlessly access their health records, manage medications and track their daily food intake all in one place.

This new feature is especially helpful for those dealing with chronic conditions like hypertension, diabetes, PCOS, and PCOD, making it simpler to stick to their medication routine.

What sets this feature apart is the fact that it has been designed specifically keeping the Indian consumers in mind. Users can just input their medication name into the app to receive complete details, including general descriptions, potential side effects and critical safety guidelines. The app even warns about adverse reactions from drug interactions.

Users can set up reminders in the Samsung Health app to notify them when to take their medications and when to refill the meds.

These alerts can be customised to suit individual needs, allowing users to prioritise their prescriptions with reminder options that range from ‘gentle’ to ‘strong.’ Plus, Galaxy Watch users will receive notifications directly on their wrists, helping them stay on top of their medication routines even when they’re away from their phones.

The Samsung Health app offers an advanced range of health features, including sleep management, mindfulness programmes, irregular heart rhythm notifications, and more. The introduction of the medication tracking feature in India will further strengthen Samsung’s commitment to creating holistic wellness experiences for its users, allowing them to live healthier and happier lives.

Kyungyun Roo, managing director of Samsung Research Institute, Noida, said, “We aim to create a comprehensive health platform that allows people to better understand and control their health by integrating devices and services. With the addition of the Medications feature for India in the Samsung Health app, we hope users will be able to manage their medicines more conveniently, improve adherence and eventually maintain better health.”

The medication tracking feature will be added to the Samsung Health app in India through app updates. According to the tech giant, the information provided is evidence-based and licensed by Tata 1mg. If you don’t see the new feature, try updating your Samsung Health app.
