Taylor Sheridan’s ‘Landman’ season 3 starts rolling cameras as ‘Lioness’ star shares set photo

Cameras are rolling on the upcoming third season of “Landman.”

The hit series created by Taylor Sheridan focuses on the oil business in Texas, and the first two seasons took the TV world by storm.

Season two ended by opening a new chapter for the Norris family as they go into business for themselves.

The second season ended on January 18, 2026, and fans have been eager for updates on when season three will arrive.

“Landman” season three production begins.

Information about the upcoming third season has largely been kept under wraps, but for the first time in a long time, there is a significant update.

“Landman” star James Jordan — who also is one of the main stars on Sheridan’s “Lioness” – shared a photo a few days ago from the set of the show indicating production on season three is underway.

Jordan captioned the post, “Up n runnin’ and back after it!”

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported that the heavy bulk of filming takes place “in and around Fort Worth.” Sheridan has a long history of filming his productions in Texas.

With production getting underway in September 2026, it’s likely that “Landman” will return at some point around spring 2027.

The show doesn’t have heavy special effects, which means the post-production timeline won’t be a lengthy one.

Worst case scenario, “Landman” fans are likely looking at a summer 2027 release window for season three of the show with Billy Bob Thornton.
