Durham ‘keeper Robinson has been in stellar form in the County Championship, averaging 48 with the bat this season while having a hand in 92 dismissals behind the stumps in the past two years.
Durham wicketkeeper Ollie Robinson was on Thursday added to England’s Test squad in New Zealand to replace the injured Jordan Cox.
It is a first call-up for the 25-year-old. He has the same name as Sussex fast bowler Ollie Robinson, who has 20 caps for England but was not selected in the tour squad.

He is expected to join the squad on Saturday.
Cox fractured his right thumb during a net session last week ruling him out of the three-Test series.
First-choice wicketkeeper Jamie Smith is on paternity leave and will play no part in the series.
The first Test began in Christchurch on Thursday with Ollie Pope keeping wicket.
The three-Test series moves to Wellington and then Hamilton.
