Both teams come into the contest with a 3-2 record and are looking up at the division leader. Last season, they were both the best teams in their conferences. A lot can change in a year. Let’s take a look at how the seasons have gone for each team so far:
Seattle Seahawks
Offense:
- 17th overall in total yards at 328.0 yards per game
- Passing game comes in at just 222.0 yards per game
- 106.0 rushing yards per game, 17th in the league.
- Averaging 26.8 points per game, eighth in the NFL
Defense:
- Best defense in yards allowed at 251.2 yards per game
- Passing defense is the top in football at 150.8 passing yards per game
- 11th in the league in rushing defense with 100.4 yards per game
- 8th overall in points allowed per game at 21.0
Denver Broncos
Offense:
- Third-fewest yards gained per game at just 269.0 yards per game
- Bottom-third passing offense with just 182.8 passing yards per game
- One of 12 teams averaging fewer than 100 rushing yards per game.
- 23rd in the NFL at 19.4 points per game.
Defense:
- 20th-ranked team in yards allowed at 347.4 per game.
- Passing defense is in the top 10 in football at 199.6 passing yards per game
- 4th worst rushing defense in football with 145.2 yards allowed per game
- 13th overall in points allowed per game at 22.2
The Seahawks look like the better team on paper, but that’s why they play the game. Do you believe the Broncos offense can get going? Perhaps you think the bad offense against a good Seattle defense spells disaster.
